Hearthrob is a small, family-run cattery in NY about a ˝ hour from Manhattan.   My name is Chris Watklevicz and I have been showing and breeding these wonderful cats since 1997.

Our goal at Hearthrob is to produce loving and healthy Ragdoll kittens, which will bring pleasure to their owners for many years to come.  The cattery is small to allow each cat and kitten to receive its full share of attention and affection.  We are members of Ragdoll Fanciers Club International (RFCI), and Ragdoll International (RI) and part of the Ragdoll Connection Network (RCN).  All Hearthrob cats and kittens are registered in TICA.

Our cats are kept in our house as our pets.  The females are allowed to roam freely within our home unless needing a bit more “structure” such as when they have young kittens.  Our two males have their own spacious quarters.  Weather permitting, both males and females spend time each day watching birds and imaging themselves great hunters in the enclosed outside run to which they have access from the house.  

Kittens are raised in my bedroom until they are old enough to begin safely exploring and socializing with the other cats, at about 6 weeks.  By 8-9 weeks, there is no more holding them back and they enjoy running the house with their brothers and sisters, mom and aunts.  Although by bedtime they can be found back in the bedroom waiting for me to try to fit myself in between them for the night!

Helping me to socialize the kittens are my granddaughters and my good old Labrador girl.  The girls help by cuddling and kissing, as well as getting them used to being dressed in doll clothes and pushed around in a baby carriage.   The dog helps by making his tail available as a moving action toy and as a big, warm body to snuggle to sleep by.

Special Announcement! Beautiful 8 month old tortie female kitten ready for new home!  She is playful and very laid back.  She is a very sweet girl who is my pillow companion. Two seal point boys, born April 17th to Cherish. They will be availble to go home mid July 09'. Two females born also on April 17, to our Purry. They will also be available to go home mid July 09'.  They are available for deposit. Our ladies are very sweet and are ready to retire and just do some relaxing. Annie, 2 years old, presently in my home in Queens, NY.  Looking for a forever home.
